House Keys Essentials | Korg M1 Organ, Piano & TX81Z for Serum 2

3 Packs in OneMulti-Sample Serum 2 + Midi
Sale price£24.99 GBP

The Korg M1 piano, the M1 organ, and the Yamaha TX81Z Lately Bass. Three machines that between them wrote the chords, the stabs and the low end of almost every house record made between 1988 and 1995.

House Keys Essentials brings all three together as Serum 2 multi-sample presets, captured from the original hardware through Neve 1073 DPX preamps. 1,472 samples across 12 velocity layers, 130 MIDI loops, 48kHz/24-bit. All three together for less than buying them separately.

Not a catalogue. The harmonic foundation of a house record, in one download.

Three Machines, One Foundation

The stab, the chord bed and the low end of a house record. Each one captured from the original hardware, each one doing a job the other two cannot.

The Show Me Love Organ

The Show Me Love Organ

Patch 17, the organ that carried Robin S, Crystal Waters and the entire deep house canon out of the Haçienda. In the bundle it does the chord work, the bed underneath everything and the stab sitting on top of it. 152 samples, 12 velocity layers, 50 MIDI loops.

The Chime Bass

The Chime Bass

Preset C15, the FM bass from Orbital's “Chime” and Gat Decor's “Passion.” It sits below the keys without crowding them, which is precisely why those records put it there. 588 samples, 12 velocity layers, 40 MIDI loops.

The Ride on Time Piano

The Ride on Time Piano

The percussive stab that ran through Black Box's “Ride on Time,” Snap!'s “Rhythm Is A Dancer” and half the Italo house records of the era. Full key-span capture from a 1988 M1 workstation. 732 samples, 12 velocity layers, 40 MIDI loops.

House Keys Essentials: Three Serum 2 Multi-Sample Instruments in One Download

All three presets load straight into Serum 2 with drag-and-drop installation and no sample folder to point anything at. The MIDI loops work in any DAW with or without Serum. Everything is labelled by key and tempo, so you can find the part you need without opening twenty files to check.

Three Machines, One Harmonic Foundation

The M1 piano, M1 Organ 2 and TX81Z Lately Bass cover the stab, the chord bed and the low end of a house record between them. Bought separately that is three decisions and three downloads. Here it is one, mapped to a consistent velocity structure so the three sit together without fighting.

Full Key-Span Capture at Twelve Velocity Layers

1,472 samples across the three instruments, every one played from the original hardware through Neve 1073 DPX preamps at 48kHz/24-bit. Twelve velocity layers throughout, which is where the attack character of these particular sounds actually lives and where cheaper captures fall apart.

130 MIDI Loops You Can Actually Use

Every pack ships with the MIDI as well as the presets: 40 loops for the piano, 50 for the organ, 40 for the bass. Drop them in to hear how these parts were voiced against each other on the records, then move them, revoice them, or run them through anything else you own.
