House Keys Essentials | MPC Expansion

Three of the keyboards that built house music, rebuilt as playable instruments for your MPC. The Korg M1 piano, the M1 organ and the Yamaha TX81Z Lately Bass, mapped across the keys and ready to play.

These are not one-shots on pads. They are full keygroup instruments, multi-sampled note by note from the original hardware, so you play the real tone at every pitch with proper velocity response where it matters. Load one, drop your hands on the keys, and you are playing the actual sound behind three decades of house records.

Every note was captured through a Neve 1073 preamp, the same signal chain behind the ProducerStack Serum versions. That is what the 1073 in the names means: real hardware, warmed through a real 1073, then built out for the MPC.

Ships dry, on purpose. No baked-in reverb or delay to fight or strip out. Raw, playable, yours to shape.

Every instrument also comes with MIDI loops and a dry WAV render of each one, 130 of each in total, in a separate folder kept out of the Expansion so your MPC browser stays clean. Hear a phrase, drop it in, make it yours. On MPC 3, drop a MIDI loop into the clip Matrix and it launches in time with your project.

Two editions in every purchase, Standard and Studio. Install one, start playing.

Why This Matters

This isn't a generic MPC expansion made in a weekend.

This is an authentic Multi-Sample, sampled from an outstanding example of the original unit, processed through Neve 1073 DPX preamps, multisampled across the full key range with velocity layers.

This sound isn't nostalgia.
It's the foundation.

We've captured it properly so you can use it in modern productions without compromise.

Three Classic House Keyboards for Your MPC

House Keys Essentials bundles the three core keyboard voices of house into a single MPC Expansion: the piano, the organ and the bass. 1,032 samples in total, multi-sampled across the full playable range of each instrument, browsable together and previewed straight from the MPC browser. Each one plays like the hardware it came from, not a loop and not a preset. Every instrument also ships with MIDI loops and a dry render of each phrase, in a separate MIDI & Audio folder for your DAW.

Korg M1 Piano 16

The most culturally loaded piano in electronic music. The percussive stab behind Madonna's "Vogue," Black Box's "Ride on Time" and Snap!'s "Rhythm Is A Dancer," and still reaching into house productions today. 61 notes sampled across C1 to C6 in stereo, 8 velocity layers, so playing harder opens the tone up exactly like the real thing. 488 samples, holding the full natural decay. 40 MIDI loops with a dry render of each are included.

Korg M1 Organ 2

The house organ. Robin S rode it on "Show Me Love," and it became the harmonic backbone of deep house, gospel house and the Hacienda sound. A true percussive organ, exactly like the real M1: every note plays the sustained organ body and a short attack chiff together, with a seamless sustain loop so held notes ring on. 76 notes across E0 to G6 in stereo, 152 samples. 50 MIDI loops (25 bass, 25 chords), each with a dry render, are included.

Yamaha TX81Z Lately Bass

The most recognisable FM bass in UK electronic music. The C15 Lately Bass patch sat under Orbital's "Chime," Gat Decor's "Passion" and Lil' Louis's "French Kiss." Clean low-end weight, a metallic upper-harmonic edge and a percussive attack that cuts through a system without being loud. 49 notes across C1 to C5 in mono, 8 velocity layers, 392 samples. 40 MIDI loops with a dry render of each are included.

Why House Lives on the MPC

House was built on hardware played by hand. The M1 and the TX81Z were keyboards you sat down at and performed, and that hands-on immediacy is the whole feel of the genre. The MPC is where a lot of house and dance producers work now for exactly the same reason: standalone, tactile, no laptop between you and the idea.

Keygroup instruments are what close the loop. Instead of triggering a single sample off a pad, you get the whole instrument mapped across the keys, velocity and all. On an MPC Key you are literally playing these house keyboards from a keyboard. On any MPC you can finger the pads chromatically, sketch a progression, and build the track on the device.

That is the argument for putting these three sounds on the MPC rather than leaving them on the laptop. Same spirit as the original hardware, same in-the-room workflow, none of the mouse.

The included MIDI is made for this. On MPC 3, drop a loop into the Matrix, the clip launcher, and it plays in time with your project tempo, triggering the House Keys instrument on the track. Launch clips, build the groove, the way house is made.

Raw, Playable, Yours to Shape

These instruments ship dry. No reverb, no delay, no baked-in processing. That is a deliberate choice for producers who want to own the sound.

Dry means full control. There is nothing to strip out before you start, no effect fighting your own chain, and nothing eating your DSP headroom on a standalone MPC where reverb and delay are the heaviest things you can load. You get a clean, playable instrument and you shape it your way.

If you want a starting point, a simple chain of EQ into compression into a touch of reverb, finished with a limiter, will place any of these three in a mix quickly. Dial it to taste. It is your sound to build.

The included MIDI and dry renders follow the same idea. Every phrase comes as MIDI to edit however you like, with a dry render so you can hear it first. Nothing baked in.
